Characteristics

  • Never use the regulator in an overload condition and never exceed the current rating.   The current rating should not be exceeded even with lower output voltage.   The current rating and the KVA rating are specified under the condition of the 10% supply voltage deviation.
  • When using the regulator in areas where supply voltage is extremely low, note that available KVA is reduced in proportion to supply voltage.
  • When the output terminals for both 110V and 220V are employed at the same time, or when the regulator is employed as a step-up or step-down transformer, the summation of KVA should be within 50% of the nominal KVA rating (as shown below).
  • Take account of the voltage drop which occurs between the regulator and load.
  • When connecting the output terminals to load, use cables of higher rating than the desired output current to avoid unnecessary voltage drop.
